The Immersion is a program designed for practitioners who want to deeply immerse themselves in the yoga practice and emerge ready to lead and experience their lives in entirely new ways. You’ll transform your asana practice with new knowledge of alignment and anatomy. You’ll study yoga philosophy and leadership principles that will alter your everyday experience and the trajectory of your life. You’ll learn how to share yoga with others and gain tools to teach any subject matter with authenticity and clarity.

The Expansion is an optional 50-hour practicum following The Immersion for those ready to step into teaching — practice teach, receive feedback, and grow as a confident, powerful guide for any student, anywhere.

Laura Rust

Laura has been practicing yoga since 2008, teaching since 2010, and became an entrepreneur and leader in the yoga industry in 2012. Through many years of teaching and through founding and growing 4 studios and a retreat business, she has acquired a wealth of knowledge and wisdom about what makes a yoga class and a yoga teacher great. She’s made it her mission to support people in stepping into their unique greatness as teachers by giving them the tools to get out of their own way and really own what they’re capable of. She’s certified over 200 teachers at the 200-hr level and, in addition to being a yoga teacher, she is a certified Lightyear Leadership senior coach. As a parent, business owner, and lover of adventure, she’s passionate about seeing all areas of life through the lens of yoga philosophy and believes that yoga is the best foundation to help you live your biggest life possible - whatever that looks like for you.

Kelsey Ryan

Kelsey began practicing yoga in 2009 while in college, initially drawn to it as a former gymnast looking for a new way to move her body. She walked into Out Here Yoga on opening day and hasn’t stopped coming since. After completing Out Here’s first teacher training in 2017, she began teaching in 2018 and earned her 300-hr certification with BIG Power Yoga in 2021. She now serves as Studio Director at Out Here Yoga and also leads yoga retreats with Live Alive Adventures. Kelsey loves alignment-based teaching and creating challenging, thoughtful sequences that give students space to step out of the everyday and into presence. Her classes are intentional and creative, offering a strong physical practice while inviting students to reconnect — physically, mentally, and spiritually — on the mat. Kelsey is passionate about sharing the practice with others and creating spaces where students feel supported to shine.

She teaches alignment yoga, Yoga Nidra, and philosophy, honoring yoga’s roots while making the teachings relevant for modern life. She also regularly travels to India, often guiding students on the journey. Sarah completed her 200-hr training at Laughing Lotus and her 500-hr certification at Yogamaya in New York City. A Houston native, she previously had a career in publishing that took her across the country before dedicating herself fully to teaching yoga.
